Simultaneous Approximation of Position and Velocity by Regressions Linear in Their Parameters,

Abstract

The classical procedure of Least Squares over a finite set of points is generalized to include both position and velocity data whenever such data can be observed independently. An in-depth statistical analysis, together with illustrative examples of the new technique, is given. (Author)
