Investigation of Pulse Superradiant Radiation of Thallium Vapors (Issledovanie Impulsnogo Sverkhizlucheniya Parov Talliya),

Abstract

The relationship between the power of pulse superradiant radiation of line 5350 A of a thallium vapor laser and the parameters of the discharge is experimentally investigated; the optimum conditions of superradiant radiation excitation are determined. The unidirectional superradiant radiation discharge mode was observed. It was found by means of a Fabry-Perot interferometer that the line consists of three components caused by isotopic and hyperfine structure splitting. Each of the components reveals a specific structure characteristic of lasers of a given type. The results obtained are critiqued.
