A Speech Sampling Interface for the PDP-8/E Computer.

Abstract

The document reports on work done on an analog data acquisition system for speech input to the PDP 8/E computer during Summer 1973. The data acquisition system was designed to provide a flexible speech input system with ties to both a larger computer (the IBM 1620), and a video display (the DEC VT8E). This report describes the use of the analog data acquisition system, which is named the CLIPS A/D Conversion System. The report also describes the use of a Speech Sampling and Display Program which makes use of the data acquisition system and the video display. (Author)
