Special Features of the Calculation of the Electromagnetic Shielding of Meter-Wave Generators,

Abstract

Presented is the calculation of the effectiveness of a solid metal screen with slits with a wall thickness much greater than the depth of penetration of the field. In this case, the effectiveness of the shield is determined by the slit alone. For simplification, the article considers a spherical shield with a slit much smaller than the dimensions of the shield, which leads to weak diffraction phenomena. The source of the field--an elementary electric vibrator--is placed in the center of the sphere, and the coefficient of reduction of the field outside the sphere is determined.
