Evaluation of Compressed-Pulse Distortions Caused by the Instability of the Amplitude-Frequency and Phase-Frequency Characteristics of a Floating-Tube Klystron,

Abstract

The presence of distortions of the amplitude-frequency characteristics of the klystron increases the requirements for phase stability at the assigned side lobe level for the output pulse of the compressive filter. At the assigned levels of side lobes and pulsations in the amplitude-frequency characteristics, the detuning of the klystron's resonators increases the requirements for the phase stability of the klystron's output signal.
