Biosynthesis of Levorin by Variants of the Producer 'Act. levoris Krass.' and Characteristics of the Obtained Preparations,

Abstract

Preparations formed by different variants of the levorin producer were investigated by means of the countercurrent distribution method. The experiments showed that the preparations obtained from different variants of Actinomyces levoris differed both among themselves and from the initial levorin preparation. Since the initial strain 26/1 forms an antifungal preparation which contains two heptaene components, work was carried out to determine the dynamics of component accumulation and the change in their ratio in the process of fermentation for 2, 3, and 4 days of culturing strain 26/1 - II in 500-liter fermenters.
