Measurement, Analysis, and Reduction of Noise in the High Frequency Electrocardiogram.

Abstract

Simultaneous measurements of multiple electrocardiographic leads were made to determine the spectral, spatial, and statistical characteristics of the electrocardiogram's predominant signal, noise, and interference components. A selective sampling technique, utilizing the isoelectric interval during the T-P segments, enabled the characteristics of the internally generated noise and external interference to be obtained independently of the heart signal.
