A Model for Data Secure Systems. Part I,

Abstract

A multi-level model for data secure systems is proposed. In this model the relevant issues in data security, such as integrity, privacy protection and controlled information sharing, can be studied, on the one hand; and the conventional procedures such as identification, authentication, authorization, and compartmentalization can be characterized, on the other hand. Furthermore, the model allows different problems in data security to be considered at a level of abstraction appropriate to the specific issue and procedure under study. (Modified author abstract)
