Expected Number of Backorders with Control Levels,

Abstract

The paper develops the equations for the expected number of backorders by IPG (Issue Priority Group) in an inventory system with control levels and solves these equations in closed form for the geometric distribution. In the latter case, it further develops equations for control levels based upon relative importance of each IPG. (Author)
