XYZPLT - A Computer Plotting Routine for Engineering Applications.

Abstract

The availability of computer plotted output has greatly increased the flexibility and use of automated data reduction programs. These programs can create reproducible high quality plotted output in lieu of less desirable printed output. The plotter's flexibility, however, is directly related to coding complexity in user programs. ZYZPLT, the subject of the report, was created for California Computer Products (CALCOMP) plotting systems as a method of more easily providing plotted output than would otherwise be possible. By functioning as an interface program between the programmer and the plotting software, and as a compromise between total plotter control and total 'black box' usage, XYZPLT provides easy accomplishment of essential options needed for engineering applications.
