Can the United States Economically Afford Loss of the Panama Canal.

Abstract

The basic question is whether or not the Panama Canal has paid off economically for the United States. The return on investment as a business enterprise of the United States was examined. The import of the Panama Canal on United States economics was perused to include time, distance, cost savings and traffic analysis by tonnage, flag of vessel and commodity.
