Evaluation of Collapsible Recompression Chamber Manufactured by Dixie Mfg. Co.,
Abstract
The Dixie Portable Chamber developed under specification requirement of BUSHIPS Contractor NOBS 77114, was evaluated through a series of laboratory tests of simulated use conditions and subjective tests of modification designed to solve a major limiting problem which cam up during tests. The portable chamber was found to be suitable for its designed use with air supply as a limiting factor. With installation of a demand breathing supply for the patient, the range of use can be significantly extended. (Author)
