The effects of Herbicides in South Vietnam. Part B. Work Papers: Uses of Herbicides in Tropics and Subtropics,

Abstract

An impressive armory of chemical herbicides exists today, some of which can also be of value at low concentrations as plant growth regulators to enhance the performance of crop plants. More than 350 herbicidal compounds were included in the 1972 index of the journal Weed Abstracts. About 125 of these were listed in 1972 for practical use in the United States. The report reviews those that have found uses for weed control in the tropics and subtropics so as to place in perspective the herbicides that have been used for military purposes in South Vietnam (SVN).
