Evaluation of the Sensitivity of Fallout Predictions to Uncertainties in Meteorological Data.

Abstract

The Defense Land Fallout Interpretive Code (DELFIC) was used to determine the sensitivity of fallout predictions to input meteorological data. Weapon yields considered were 1 KT, 10 KT, 100 KT, and 1 MT. Burst locations were Washington, DC, and Seattle, Washington. Forecasted, observed, and degraded meteorological data inputs were considered. (Author)
