Aperture Synthesis of Formaldehyde Absorption in SGR A,

Abstract

Synthesis observations of the 4830 MHz formaldehyde absorption originating near Sgr A are presented. The synthesized beamwidth is 20 arcsec in right ascension and 40 arcsec in declination. The velocity resolution is 6.2/kms. The results suggest that the broad +40/kms absorption feature arises in two separate dense molecular clouds behind, and moving away from, the center of the Galaxy.
