A High Resolution Neutral Hydrogen Study of Galaxy M81,

Abstract

Observations of the galaxy M81 (NGC 3031) have been made using the two element interferometer of the Owens Valley Radio Observatory. Operating at the appropriate Doppler-shifted neutral hydrogen frequency a resolution of 2 arc min is synthesized which is equivalent to 1.9 kpc at a distance of 3.25 Mpc.
