Electronically Controlled Filters and Multicouplers.

Abstract

The report describes the effort completed during the first half of the program to develop Electronically Controlled Filters and Multicouplers. The major characteristic of this program is the electronically tunable feature of the filter. Other characteristics of the filter are: an insertion loss of 3 dB or better, and the selectivity 10 percent removed from the center frequency. The multicoupler has the feature that two or more transceivers will be able to operate from one antenna. The multicoupler consists of two electronically tunable filters and a hybrid matching network. The report also describes the development of the optimum filter arrangement on the frequency range from 30 to 80 MHz. The design and production of the associated control circuitry for the filter system was also accomplished. (Author)
