Level Structure of 93Nb with the 96Mo(p,a) 93Nb Reaction.

Abstract

The report is the third of a series which describes the testing of functions and capabilities of computer codes available for analyses of the data obtained in support of the neutron cross section program at this laboratory. In the report emphasis has been placed on testing the capabilities and usefulness of the computer codes for studies of a specific type of nuclear reaction, that is, a three-nucleon transfer reaction. The (p,a) reaction has been chosen as a sample case because the present scattering facilities in the charged-particle room are best suited for the detection of alpha particles with an optimum experimental resolution. The results and information gained from this analysis may be used directly in the analyses and interpretation of (a,n) reactions. (Author)
