Statistical Results for the Neutral Allele Model.

Abstract

A number of simulation and theoretical results for the neutral alleles model are obtained and compared. Of particular interest is the estimation of genetic parameters and tests of the hypothesis of neutrality. The effect of population subdivision and of non-identification of alleles through electrophoresis are considered. The effect of the former is negligible, while that of the latter is moderate.
