Abstract

A detailed account of theoretical and experimental studies of semiconductors and semimetals is given. The influence of other workers on this research program and the impact of this program on other efforts is also commented upon. A list of publications is included together with the names, thesis titles, and present place of employment of those who earned their Ph.D.
