Magnetohydrodynamic Converter,

Abstract

The magnetohydrodynamic converter with a single component vapor-liquid working fluid consists of the following components connected in series: nozzle, separator, MHD-generator, liquid diffuser between MHD-generators and circuit. In this circuit steam is compressed into a diffuser after separation, transfers its heat in the radiator and enters into the principal stream for mixing after MHD-generator. The converter differs in this respect that it contains a turbine between the separator and gas diffuser in the vapor-liquid circuit for increasing the efficiency of the cycle.
