Modern Trends in the Development and Application of Pesticides,
Abstract
The problem of toxic residues is discussed, and the author concludes that proper rotating and combined usages will overcome this problem. The main portion of the book is principally a survey of the literature on various classes of chemical insect and mite control agents, chemical plants disease control agents and chemical weed control agent and plant growth regulators. These main pesticide headings are broken down generally by groups of chemical compounds, e.g. organic chlorides, organophosphorus, carbamic acid, heterocyclic compounds, etc. Other sections are devoted to discussion of chemical attractants, repellents, juvenile hormones, and the use of biological methods.
