Certain Physicochemical Properties of Pentaene Antibiotics,

Abstract

From the UV spectrum it is possible to conclude that the pentaene 44V/I has an atom of nitrogen in the molecule and is an amphoteric substance without a definite melting point. The probability of obtaining it in crystalline form is low; however, there is a possiblility of obtaining crystalline salts of the substance, such as the monosodium, triethylaminosulfate, and other salts.
