Abstract
The report contains information concerning the activities of many of the dental research laboratories of North Europe and the United Kingdom. Areas of particular interest include: the immune response in oral disease, ultrastructure of oral tissues, bacteriology of oral disease, fluorides in relation to tooth enamel, epidemiology of oral disease, physical/chemical studies of hydroxyapatite crystals, preventive dentistry programs, identification of salivary constituents, biochemistry of dental plaque and biochemistry of the periodontium.
