Economic Theoretical Structure of Cost-Benefit Analysis.

Abstract

For a general model of production structure, various Indirect Production Functions are defined and used to construct cost-return (benefit) relationships. When an ordinal utility function is used for valuation of output vectors, a cardinalization of the values of this function is suggested in terms of the minimal cost of getting output vectors at least as preferred as those of the indifference class to which is associated an ordinal value of V(u).
