Correlation of Animal, Crypt and Stem Cell Survival in Fission Neutron Irradiated Mice. A Chemical Protection Study.

Abstract

The report deals with continuing studies with the antiradiation drugs WR2721, WR638, WR1607, WR2347, WR3689, WR77913, and WR109342. In addition, WR2822, WR2823 and WR168643 were added to the experimental protocol. These newly synthesized drugs were compared to the older radiation protection compounds MEA and AET. The effects of high energy x-rays and fission neutrons was tested on intestinal crypt survival, lethality, and total and percrypt cellularity. (Author)
