Evaluation of Circle Clamp Corp. Deep Sea Divers Hose Clamps,

Abstract

A simple hose clamp is evaluated as a possible substitute for the bronze, screw-type clamp on the standard diver's air hose coupling. The clamp is found to have adequate holding power but has several minor disadvantages and no real advantages over the standard clamp and, as such, is not recommended for adaptation as standard though its use as a war time substitute item is considered warranted.
