Piezoelectric Laser Beam Deflector.
Abstract
There has been considerable activity in an attempt to develop a practical laser deflector. The report discusses the feasibility of using a piezoelectric torsional deflector for this purpose. An introduction to piezoelectricity is given. The longitudinal, bending, and torsional modes of piezoelectric crystals are discussed using pertinent equations and figures. (Author)
