Absolute Calibration of X-Ray Ionization Chambers.

Abstract

A method was devised to determine the response of ionization chambers to x radiation by direct measurement. The method was applied to several ionization chambers of the SOLRAD type. Resulting responses differed from those predicted. The standard of measurement employed was a proportional counter, which is described. (Author)
