An Interactive Debugger for Software and Firmware,

Abstract

A program for interactively debugging software and firmware on an Intercomputer i-50 minicomputer is described. Two processors sharing a common memory are used. The debugger is controlled by standard firmware in one processor, and the firmware and software to be debugged run under the other processor. By inserting a small defined routine into the firmware to be debugged, the debugger has control of the other processor, yet is practically invisible to it. (Author)
