Map Type Catalog for the Texas Window,

Abstract

A standardized procedure has been developed to determine the synotpic map types which have occurred over a specified area (window). The map catalog is a summarization of information relating to these map types for a particular window. (There is a catalog for each of the 14 windows which cover the United States.) The catalog includes characteristics of the map types and listings of each map in the data base (25 years of surface pressure maps) along with its most similar map type for the Texas window.
