Evaluation of Revised Bar-Way Diver's Air Hose Coupling.

Abstract

A diver's air hose coupling is evaluated for the determination of its acceptability as a substitute for or replacement of the Standard Navy clamp type diver's air hose coupling. Extensive hydrostatic, tension and cyclic work tests, as well as destructive tests for internal examination, were conducted. The coupling is found to have a slight advantage over the Standard one in ease of handling. (Modified author abstract)
