Study of Heatproof Materials in Nonsteady-State Operating Conditions,

Abstract

The present paper deals with the problem of transient heating and abalation of heat-proof coatings of flight vehicles. An analysis is made of the effect of transient parameters on the characteristics of hypersonic ablation and heating of glassy coatings. An implicit finite-difference procedure of calculation of unsteady thermal conditions at the boundary of a plate whose properties are dependent on temperature is presented.
