An Excitation Circuit for TEA Grid Laser,

Abstract

A novel circuit employing a combination of inductive and capacitive elements designed to excite a double discharge grid-type TEA CO2 laser is described. The electrical and amplification characteristics of the excited medium have been measured. Small-signal gain coefficients up to 0.025/cm were achieved with an electrical energy density of 100 mJ/cc being supplied to the discharge. (Author)
