Atmospheric Boundary Layer Measurements from an Oceanic Research Tower.

Abstract

Preliminary fine-scale measurements of temperature, velocity, and their derivatives in the atmosphere have been completed on a U.S. Navy oceanographic research tower. The spectra and probability density functions are similar to those of previous investigators. Special techniques have been developed for the calibration of velocity and temperature in the field.
