An Alloy of the Nb-Ta-Ti System for Working in Highly Agressive Chemical Media,

Abstract

A Nb (20 at. %)-Ta (7 at. %)-Ti alloy was prepared. This alloy was easily rolled by cold rolling into a sheet without intermediate annealings. The results of corrosion tests on the ternary alloy and on pure niobium and tantalum in boiling hydrochloric, sulfuric and phosphoric acids are given.
