Instrumented Thermal Mannikin

Abstract

This report covers the development, fabrication and testing of an advanced instrumented mannikin system consisting of the following elements: a rugged mannikin system consisting of the following elements: a rugged mannikin shell, an inexpensive sensor, a compact data acquisition system, a versatile mannikin support system, and an accurate and easily used computer code for assessment of burn damage. This system provides accurate time- temperature histories converted to sensor surface heat flux predictions required to compute human skin burn assessments.
