Influences of Coulomb Collisions on the Spectra of Collective Scattered Radiation from Fully Ionized Plasmas,

Abstract

Complete profiles of the Coulomb-collision corrected scattered spectrum of the ion central lines from near ion-acoustic resonances to zero frequency shift and those of the electron-plasma lines have been computed for a fully and singly ionized plasma with equal electron and ion temperatures in the absence of an external magnetic field. The numerical calculations presented here are primarily based on the theoretical works of DuBois et al. The results are compared with those predicted by the collisionless plasma theory.
