Remote-Terminal Emulator (Design Verification Model). Volume 3. Macro Preprocessor.

Abstract

The Remote-Terminal Emulator is a minicomputer-based system which generates message loads for use in testing and evaluating large-scale, multi-terminal computer systems. This seris of reports will describe the two Design Verification Models that were developed on Data General NOVA 800 mimicomputers. The report describes the design, implementation, and use of the Macro Preprocessor, a support program used throughout the development of the two Design Verification Models of the Remote Terminal Emulator. The Preprocessor software was written in Extended ALGOL to operate on the Data General NOVA 800 minicomputer. It consists of two programs: SSUB, the preprocessor itself, and a second program, MACDEF, used to generate macro libraries. (Author)
