Abstract
The book gives a description of the construction of the new 12-cylinder engine YaMZ-240 (Yaroslavl/Motor Plant) and its modifications, the principles of the operation of the engine and its assemblies, a detailed examination of the construction of its units and parts, as well as the gas turbine supercharge assemblies of the YaMZ-240N Engine. Recommendations are made on the operation and technical maintenance of the engines, and the fuels and lubricants to be used; essential information is provided on adjusting, as well as specific recommendations with respect to repairs.
