Super-High Pressure Equipment,
Abstract
An attempt is made to define development trends for high-pressure equipment with increased operating volume by analyzing experience gained in operation of modern apparatus. Aspects and potentials of certain designs are discussed. Preliminary recommendations are given for areas of application based on results obtained. Pressures discussed are on the order of 100,000 kg/sq cm. Hydrostatic devices of Soviet manufacture with a 1,000 cc operating volume are predicted for the near future. (Author)
