Requirements Determination of Major Weapon Systems.

Abstract

The major weapon system requirements determination process should lead to optimum solutions to meet perceived defense mission deficiencies. Principal areas of concern which affect the soundness of the requirements determination function are addressed. These include: Adequacy of information used for threat analysis; The process of selecting specific requirements; and The timeliness and adequacy of information provided to the Secretary of Defense and Congress.
