Vortex Formation in Oblique Flow around a Helicopter Rotor,

Abstract

The work presents results of experimental determination of the structure and shape of the vortex wake behind a rotor in a slanted flow, containing a description of the earlier unknown secondary deflection of the system of end vortices, which is in turn a result of the primary deflection of the shroud of vortex lines at the rear edge of each blade.
