Executive Summary: Comparison of the U. S./USSR Economies.

Abstract

The report gives preliminary estimates of selected U.S./USSR economic aggregates, interprets them in light of data and theoretical considerations, comments on the state of the two economies to provide a basis for interpreting future resource allocation decisions, and finally presents observations on what can be drawn from U.S./USSR comparative economic studies at this time for defense policy analysis.
