Abstract

The report presents the recent history of U.S. gross national product (GNP), the U.S. equivalent of Soviet national income accounting termed net material product (NMP), national security expenditures (NSE), research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT and E), and defense-related RDT and E. The period covered for most of the series is 1950 to 1970. The report presents U.S. national income and expenditure data in such a form that it will be comparable with Soviet national income and expenditure data. (Author)
