Miscellaneous Considerations Regarding Closed Circuit Oxygen Scuba.
Abstract
The status of several closed circuit oxygen scuba is reviewed and recommendations for future developments are made. The German Drager and the USN Mark 3 are discussed in some detail and the USN Mark 4 is briefly described. Further improvements of the Mark 3 are enumerated and continued development is recommended, concurrently with development of the wholly new Mark 4 unit. A brief review of early closed circuit oxygen scuba is included along with an anotated bibliography of previous reports pertinent to this type breathing apparatus. (Author)
