Controllability, Pole Placement and Stabilizability in Large Scale Composite Systems,

Abstract

The work gives some preliminary results related to research on Large Scale Composite (LSC) systems. An interconnected system model is considered. Each subsystem is assumed to be linear, time invariant, and have both local inputs and interaction inputs from other subsystems. The main question is: 'What can be done without lumping all subsystems into one large system model, and what can be done by each subsystem using local observations and local control inputs alone.' Results on controllability, pole placement and stabilizability are given for the general LSC system and the 'chain' structure. (Modified author abstract)
