Shipborne Radar Equipment and Its Employment,

Abstract

The volume is devoted to radar theory, and a presentation of the basic principles involved in radar work. Consideration is given to the underlying laws of radiowave propagation over ocean surfaces, and their reflection from radar targets. It sets forth the methods used for computing the range of radar observations under various conditions, the methods used for processing radar information and the statistical evaluation of quality indexes of radar observation, as well as the characteristics of passive radar based on using the thermal radio frequency radiations of targets.
