Wave Problems in Underwater Acoustics,

Abstract

The monograph presents the main methods used in computations of sound fields radiated and diffracted by bodies. The interaction of sound waves with elastic bodies, as well as sound transmission through elastic plates and shells, are analyzed. The materials presented provide the basis for analyzing the acoustic characteristics of various structures. The book is intended for a wide circle of engineers concerned with the computation of sound fields in underwater acoustics, shipbuilding, and architectural acoustics; naval specialists; and university students majoring in these specialties. Separate sections will be useful to specialists in electromagnetic waves.
