Commuter Air Carrier Operators as of September 1973.
Abstract
There were 174 Commuter Air Carriers who reported operations to CAB for the quarter ending September 30, 1973, an increase of 22.5% over last year. The number of aircraft operated by these carriers increased 13.8% to 855 units with an estimated value of $159,699,000. Available seats increased 18.7% from 8,300 in 1972 to 9,900 in 1973. During this three month period there were 234,000 flights made by this group, 6.8% above the 219,000 reported for last year.
